Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst supporting accounting operations for a leading medical institution. Performing bank reconciliations, financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and general accounting assistance to the Controller
- Complete bank reconciliations for the current year
- Analyze financial information, accounting processes, and business systems
- Identify issues and prepare reports
- Recommend improvements to accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
- Advise department personnel on accounting-related matters
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Working knowledge of fund accounting and healthcare accounting
- Experience managing and maintaining accounting systems
- Experience producing financial reports for medical groups and physician networks
- Working knowledge of computerized general ledger and subsidiary accounting systems
- Understanding of the flow of financial information
- Ability to recommend system enhancements and modifications
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing applications
- Experience analyzing financial data and preparing reports, presentations, and communications
- Monday to Friday availability, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST
- Flexibility to adjust working hours and work overtime as needed
