Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst supporting GDIT’s Federal Health Division. Delivering forecasting, budgeting, contract analysis, and financial reporting for government missions.

Responsibilities:

  • Support mission-critical initiatives across GDIT’s Federal Health Division
  • Partner with finance and program leadership to deliver analysis, reporting, and insights
  • Perform financial analysis and planning for budgeting, auditing, and financial planning
  • Analyze results, monitor variances, identify trends, and recommend actions to management
  • Perform cost accounting, revenue recognition, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, EAC development, AP invoice and AR billing reviews, purchase requisition reviews, proposal pricing support, ad hoc reporting, and other analysis
  • Prepare and analyze revenue, cost, and investment totals for monthly outlooks, quarterly forecasts, and annual strategic plans
  • Provide monthly variance analyses and opportunity and risk assessments
  • Prepare and analyze financials for the monthly close process
  • Collaborate regularly with program management staff and business leaders
  • Lead creation of monthly business review information for assigned programs
  • Review contract terms and support job setup and modifications in Oracle
  • Collect, review, and reconcile financial data from multiple sources and systems
  • Create, maintain, and update financial databases and spreadsheets and generate financial reports
  • Partner with AI tools for data review, financial modeling, variance analysis, and productivity acceleration
  • Analyze projected staff hours, contract totals, revenues, and profits for assigned contracts
  • Support managers with financial tracking, monitoring, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and government regulations
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related business discipline, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years of related financial analysis experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions
  • Experience in government contracting
  • Familiarity with Oracle EBS, Oracle Hyperion, or similar financial systems
  • Forecasting skills and ability to understand business decisions’ impact on P&L
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings to financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Team-oriented, proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • US Person
  • Knowledge of government contract cost structures and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) preferred
