Job Description
Java Backend Developer building scalable enterprise applications for Qualysoft’s IT consulting and digital transformation services. Developing APIs, Kafka architectures, SQL integrations, and automated tests.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot
- Develop and integrate REST and SOAP APIs for communication between internal and external systems
- Implement and maintain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka
- Work with SQL databases, including database design, query optimization, and data persistence
- Develop and maintain automated integration tests using TestContainers
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend applications for performance, stability, and scalability
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and business analysts to deliver reliable software solutions
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of development practices
- Contribute to application deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in containerized environments
Requirements:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 21 and Spring Boot

- Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes for container orchestration and application deployment (nice to have)
- Previous experience in banking or financial services, particularly with banking system integrations (nice to have)
- Understanding of transaction processing, data consistency, and secure communication between financial systems (nice to have)
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud-native application development (nice to have)
