Job Description

Accountant supporting financial operations, handling accounting and compliance for management companies and funds. Involves fund administration, financial reporting, and collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, reconciliations and month-end journals.
  • Perform AP and AR functions, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.
  • Process payroll and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual reporting requirements including BAS, financial statements and tax return.
  • Work with the external fund administrator on fund accounting, investor reporting and fund administration matters.
  • Review fund trial balances and assist with capital calls, distributions, management fees, NAV reporting, IRR reporting and investor allocations.
  • Assist with year-end financial statements, audit schedules and auditor queries.
  • Support the Financial Controller, CFO and investment team with quarterly reporting and financial analysis.

Requirements:

  • CA or CPA qualified or working towards qualification.
  • Experience in accounting, finance or fund operations, ideally within investment management, venture capital, private equity or financial services.
  • Fund accounting experience is highly advantageous.
  • Experience reviewing capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, management fees, NAV reporting or fund financial statements is preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills, attention to detail and confidence working with financial data.
  • Able to work independently in a flexible or remote working environment while managing deadlines around month-end, quarter-end and audit periods
