Job Description

Senior IT Project Manager leading complex technology projects for Sarah Cannon Research Institute, a community-based oncology research organization. Managing cross-functional delivery, budgets, risks, and infrastructure initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide the management of high-visibility, ambiguous, complex, high-priority, and executive-overseen IT projects
  • Identify methods to enhance project management capabilities and processes
  • Direct complex projects involving cross-functional teams and matrix partners
  • Lead product and service launches, application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments
  • Develop and oversee financial forecasts
  • Reconcile resources and related project expenditures
  • Lead continuous risk and issue management processes
  • Identify and assess risks and issues
  • Develop and manage mitigation measures with leaders
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' work experience in IT Project Management
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects
  • PMP Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
  • Agile Project Management and Scrum Certification strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to build strong and positive relationships and earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages, and execute with limited information and ambiguity
  • Proven ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively
