Job Description
Java integration engineer connecting Allstate’s governance, risk, and compliance platform with enterprise applications. Building secure, scalable data services and automated integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support Java-based integration solutions connecting the Fusion Governance, Risk, and Compliance platform with enterprise applications
- Build secure, scalable integration services for reliable data exchange
- Extract, transform, validate, and map data
- Develop reusable integration components and automated processes
- Implement secure authentication and communication methods
- Create monitoring, logging, error handling, and recovery capabilities
- Work with structured data formats and large data sets
- Define integration requirements, data mappings, and transformation rules with business and technology partners
- Support testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing production support
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams
- Design reusable, maintainable, scalable integration frameworks
- Contribute to system performance, process improvement, and user experience initiatives
Requirements:
- Strong experience developing and supporting enterprise applications using Java
- Experience building and integrating services enabling secure, reliable communication between business systems
- Knowledge of authentication methods and application/data security practices
- Experience transforming, validating, and exchanging structured data across multiple systems
- Experience building automated, scheduled, and large-scale data processing solutions
- Strong understanding of data integration, mapping, and transformation principles
- Experience with monitoring, logging, error handling, and recovery capabilities
- Experience with relational databases and complex database queries
- Knowledge of enterprise application security, system connectivity, and integration best practices
- Experience using source control, automated build processes, and deployment tools
- 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)
- Background investigation required
- Must have a dedicated, private home workspace, appropriate desk and seating, and reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
