Job Description
Senior Product Design Manager leading platform, mobile and design-system experiences for HighLevel's AI-powered business operating system. Managing eight designers across US and India.
Responsibilities:
- Lead design for HighLevel's core platform experiences, native mobile experiences and design system team
- Report to the Senior Director, Product Design
- Manage, coach and develop approximately 8 product designers across US and India teams
- Set expectations for quality, ownership, collaboration and delivery
- Hire, onboard and develop product designers
- Conduct performance management, coaching, critiques and quality reviews
- Raise aesthetic quality, visual craft, interaction quality, product design thinking and customer-centered execution
- Lead design execution across navigation, account management, configuration, workflow execution and customer operations
- Guide mobile design for native platforms
- Partner with Product and Engineering on priorities, roadmaps, tradeoffs and customer experience
- Connect desktop, mobile and shared platform surfaces into one coherent product experience
- Line manage the design system team and partner on strategy, priorities, governance and adoption
- Drive adoption of shared components, patterns and interaction standards across product, design and engineering
- Build partnerships with Product, Engineering, Data, Support and Customer Success
- Represent Design in planning, roadmap and delivery conversations
- Work across time zones and cultures, especially between US and India teams
- Encourage responsible AI-assisted workflows for exploration, prototyping, documentation and production collaboration
Requirements:
- 9+ years of experience in product design, UX or related product experience disciplines
- 3+ years managing product designers
- Proven experience managing designers across complex B2B SaaS, platform, mobile or multi-product environments
- Exceptional aesthetic judgment, visual craft and interaction-design taste
- Experience leading critique, coaching designers and helping teams make strong design decisions
- Experience leading or line managing design system work, including component libraries, shared patterns, contribution models, documentation, governance or adoption across product teams
- Experience managing distributed teams and working across time zones
- Experience working closely with India-based teams is a strong plus
- Demonstrated ability to hire strong designers, develop existing talent and performance manage team members who need additional support
- Strong product judgment and ability to balance customer needs, business outcomes, technical constraints and speed of execution
- Familiarity with AI-assisted production tools such as Cursor, Claude Code or exploratory "vibe coding" workflows
- Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high ownership expectations
