Job Description

Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer designing and maintaining database solutions at Newfold Digital. Focused on performance, scalability, and reliability for critical business applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement robust and efficient Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Optimize existing PL/SQL code and SQL queries for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Perform database performance tuning, including indexing strategies, query optimization, and schema design improvements.
  • Develop and maintain data migration scripts and ETL processes.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, procedures, and processes.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in production and development environments.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • Ensure data integrity and security across all database operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
  • Expert-level proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning techniques, and best practices.
  • Experience with large-scale database systems and high-volume transaction processing.
  • Familiarity with database design principles, data modeling, and normalization.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and SDLC methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Oracle database tools such as SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar.
