Job Description
Senior Process Engineer at Hargrove ensuring pressure relief systems' safe operation and compliance in industrial facilities. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining relief valves and troubleshooting systems.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and reliable operation of pressure relief systems in industrial facilities
- Design, select, and maintain relief valves
- Analyze potential overpressure scenarios and develop mitigation strategies
- Conduct engineering studies and troubleshooting of existing relief systems
- Review vendor documentation for relief valves and related equipment
- Gather field data and information for relief system design and analysis
- Audit installed relief systems to ensure compliance with design
- Document all calculations, analysis, and work processes in a clear and concise manner
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or Petroleum Engineering from an accredited university is required
- Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred
- 10 to 15 years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering
- Promotes the culture of working safely and applying safety related concepts into process design.
- Basic knowledge of chemical process engineering and chemical process computer programs
- Familiarity with specifications and installation details of equipment, instrumentation, and piping
- Ability to create accurate process engineering documents from the information provided in vendor equipment data and drawings
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
