Job Description
Product Designer shaping enterprise AI user experiences for Cohere's North team. Collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality, intuitive workflows in AI systems.
Responsibilities:
- Own the design process end-to-end for your product area, identifying opportunities to improve user experience and drive product impact
- Design intuitive, user-friendly experiences that balance technical complexity with accessibility and ease of use
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle
- Conduct user research to understand needs, validate design decisions, and translate insights into actionable design improvements
- Maintain a high craft and quality bar, ensuring every detail contributes to a cohesive and polished experience
- Contribute to design systems and patterns that scale across the North platform
- Partner with engineering to ensure designs are implemented with fidelity and make pragmatic tradeoffs when needed
Requirements:
- 4+ years experience designing digital products with a strong portfolio that demonstrates your process, systems thinking, and measurable impact on user outcomes.
- Strong understanding of AI concepts and agentic systems, including how models reason, use tools, and orchestrate multi-step workflows.
- Collaborative approach to product development, working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders.
- Deep commitment to understanding user needs through research, data, and direct engagement.
- Meticulous attention to craft and detail. Proficient in Figma and visual design skills in typography, layout, color, and composition.
- Clear, proactive communication that keeps distributed teams aligned.
