Job Description

Product Owner maximizing software development value as a liaison in a SaaS company. Driving Agile practices and collaborating with engineering teams to shape product vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Maximize Product Value: Ensure the product delivers maximum value resulting from the development team's work and meets all agreed-upon goals.
  • Define Delivery Strategy: Collaborate with the engineering team to define the execution strategy and delivery timelines.
  • Backlog Management: Build, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog to align with technical and business strategies.
  • Story Definition: Partner with the squad to create Epics and Stories, ensuring they meet the strict "Definition of Ready" and "Definition of Done."
  • Scrum Leadership: Lead and manage essential Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint demos.
  • Project Tracking & Communication: Drive sprint and release plans, track progress against timelines, and provide transparent updates to stakeholders.
  • Impediment Mitigation: Proactively identify and remove roadblocks that threaten the squad's ability to complete goals.
  • Vision Stewardship: Actively participate in shaping and upholding the overall product vision from design through deployment.

Requirements:

  • Process Transformation Experience: A proven track record of successfully streamlining and transforming internal business processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to partner with Technical Owners on an Agile squad to ensure predictable, high-quality software delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Security teams, DBAs, UX Designers, and Customers.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to translate complex business or technical problems into actionable, well-defined solutions.
  • Agile/Scrum Expertise: Deep practical knowledge of Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework.
  • Nice to Have: Advanced Technology/AI Acumen: Ability to stay up to date on emerging technologies, specifically focusing on the evolving Artificial Intelligence (AI) landscape.
  • Technical Familiarity: A baseline understanding of software architecture, database administration, and security to better facilitate technical stakeholder collaboration.
