Job Description
Project Associate coordinating clinical trial planning, execution, budgets, risks, and quality activities. Supporting Syneos Health’s integrated life sciences services and mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the planning and execution of elements of clinical trials in partnership with the Project Lead
- Ensure projects adhere to strict timelines and are delivered within budget
- Serve as subject matter expert for relevant project management tools and systems
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for efficient project execution
- Maintain and distribute study-specific financial reports and contribute to study financial health using financial processes and systems
- Conduct ongoing analysis of project performance to drive successful completion of short- and long-term goals
- Document project scope and objectives with relevant stakeholders
- Lead communication between project team members regarding project status and changes
- Document and escalate project risks and issues and drive timely follow-through and resolution
- Maintain systems, project management tools, and methodologies
- Drive quality assurance activities, including audit and internal review preparation, documentation, and resolution of actionable issues
- Oversee tasks and activities by mentoring and coordinating junior team members while operating independently with minimal oversight
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) level of qualification in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, project management or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice/ICH guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage time and work independently
- High proficiency with full MS Office Applications and/or project management software tools
- Strong written and spoken communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to inform, influence, convince, and persuade
- Ability to travel if necessary preferred (approximately 5%)
- Effective verbal and writing skills in English
