Job Description

Senior Requirements Engineer connecting business and tech at EMIL Group, an Insurtech providing SaaS solutions. Focus on translating product requirements and maintaining project documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate high-level initiatives and requirements from Product Management into detailed, actionable technical requirements and crystal-clear acceptance criteria.
  • Improve and structure the product backlog in close coordination with the PM.
  • Support Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) by deriving high-quality scenarios (e.g., in Gherkin syntax) directly from the requirements.
  • Own the "glossary" and domain terminology, structuring the internal knowledge base (Confluence).
  • Gather inputs from PMs, Designers, Devs & QA, converting them into clarified business logic.
  • Provide Developers and QA with specified logic and edge cases, returning prepared requirements to the PM for review.

Requirements:

  • Several years of professional experience in Requirements Engineering, IT Business Analysis, or a similar cross-functional role (ideally in a SaaS, insurance, or finance environment).
  • Solid knowledge of agile frameworks.
  • Practical experience with formulating test cases (e.g., BDD / Gherkin).
  • Strong analytical skills to grasp complex business needs and translate them into a language that Developers and QA can immediately work with.
  • Passion for structure, documentation ("Detail and Clarity"), and uncovering edge cases before they become bottlenecks in development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and good skills in German (B2).
  • Fluency in Transformative AI, orchestrating it to elevate work.

Benefits:

  • 30 days of paid vacation, plus we give you half the day off on December 24th and 31st.
  • A personal development budget of at least €500 (potentially more), which we use to jointly invest in your growth.
  • A company subsidy for an Urban Sports Club membership to support your work-life balance.
  • A heavily subsidized company pension scheme so we can optimally prepare for your future together.
  • A VSOP program, allowing you as an employee to additionally benefit from the company's success.
  • Weekly company lunches and a fully stocked snack bar.
