Job Description
Senior Software Developer building AI-enabled full-stack servicing applications for Rocket Innovation Studio, a Canadian fintech company. Owning features across React, .NET, AWS, and Kubernetes from design through production operations.
Responsibilities:
- Own full-stack features from problem definition through design, implementation, release, measurement, and iteration
- Design and implement scalable front-end solutions using Next.js or React with a NestJS GraphQL integration layer
- Design and implement scalable back-end solutions using .NET / C# and NestJS GraphQL
- Architect, deploy, and operate applications on AWS and Amazon EKS through CI/CD pipelines
- Use AI tools and agentic development workflows across design, coding, testing, debugging, reviewing, and software delivery
- Partner with product, design, data, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous needs into technical solutions
- Contribute to architecture and technical strategy decisions
- Collaborate across distributed development teams, including partners in India
- Mentor developers and improve team engineering workflows
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including possible nights and weekends, to support production systems and service reliability
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience building production full-stack software across front end and back end
- Hands-on experience with Next.js or React and a NestJS GraphQL integration layer
- Hands-on experience with .NET / C# and NestJS GraphQL
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating applications on AWS with Amazon EKS / Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of software design, system architecture, testing, observability, and maintainability
- Ability to solve ambiguous problems and collaborate effectively across teams
- Strong hands-on usage of AI tools in professional software development workflows
- Experience with AI coding agents, AI-assisted reviews, prompt-driven development, or multi-agent workflows
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and production operations
- Experience delivering features in greenfield, early-stage, or rapidly evolving product environments
- Experience in fintech, financial services, or mortgage servicing
- Ability to mentor engineers and influence engineering practices
