Job Description

Senior Sourcing Category Partner driving procurement initiatives across Direct and Indirect Spend Categories at NMDP. Championing cost optimization and supporting operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive procurement initiatives across Direct and Indirect Spend Categories.
  • Champion cost optimization and foster innovation.
  • Support operational excellence in key spend categories.
  • Act as a trusted procurement advisor across Operations, Facilities, IT, and other departments.
  • Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for Capital Expenditures and Business and Healthcare Services.
  • Manage full-cycle sourcing processes such as RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
  • Lead commercial negotiations around pricing, SLAs, data privacy, and intellectual property rights.
  • Facilitate productive cross-functional collaboration and strategic guidance.
  • Oversee and nurture supplier partnerships, ensuring compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report essential procurement metrics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field required, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management, ideally within Indirect and/or Direct spend within a healthcare environment, Facilities, IT, HR or other business services.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating complex contracts, managing vendor performance, and delivering measurable cost optimization.
  • Adaptability to changing business conditions.
  • Great project management and influence skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
