Job Description

Sr Sourcing Manager leading configured-systems sourcing for GE Vernova's gas power infrastructure services. Driving supplier performance, compliance, cost savings, and operational improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute sourcing strategies for Non-Globalized Configured Systems commodities
  • Own accountability for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) performance targets across Gas Power Services sourcing
  • Lead strategic supplier initiatives including lead time reduction, on-time delivery improvement, payment term optimization, supplier rationalization, sole source risk reduction, and LCC volume growth
  • Drive turnaround time (TAT) and quote upload performance to support commercial wins in the Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) phase and margin expansion in the OTR phase
  • Own sourcing compliance, including delegation of authority (DOA), price approvals, competitive bidding policy, supplier onboarding, and Quality Management System (QMS) adherence
  • Collaborate with Operations Management, Materials, and Flow Parts fulfilment teams to meet and exceed OTD, delinquency, supplier escape, and lead time targets through daily management and standard work practices
  • Build and sustain supplier relationships through supplier conferences, should-cost modelling, vendor negotiations, and total landed cost management
  • Lead lean transactional events and continuous improvement actions
  • Execute supplier performance reviews (PSRs) and escalation management to drive measurable operational gains

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in sourcing, procurement, or global supply chain management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with experience managing contracts and commercial terms
  • Solid analytical capability — comfortable working with data to support scenario analysis, cost modelling, and performance tracking
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, COPICS, or BAAN (preferred)
  • Familiarity with lean methodologies, continuous improvement frameworks, or Six Sigma practices (preferred)
  • Experience working in or with matrix organizations across international teams (preferred)
