Job Description
Freelance SketchUp and 3D rendering specialist supporting a Midwest fitness-equipment manufacturer. Creating architectural models, photorealistic presentations, walkthroughs, and animations for educational customers.
Responsibilities:
- Convert 2D architectural drawings (.dwg, PDF, etc.) into accurate SketchUp models for sales-space design
- Turn completed SketchUp room layouts into high-resolution renderings, animations, and presentation-ready materials
- Build room shells with architectural details, materials, and lighting
- Produce photorealistic renderings for customer presentations, including customer logos and individual equipment renderings
- Produce 3D walkthroughs and animated videos with day/night scenes and visual effects
- Potentially create website and marketing renderings
- Potentially convert SolidWorks engineering models into SketchUp
- Potentially perform advanced rendering and post-processing for larger projects
- Explore emerging visualization technology, including VR and immersive customer experiences
- Support the sales and visualization team of a Midwest strength-training and fitness-equipment manufacturer serving educational institutions nationwide
Requirements:
- Proven experience with SketchUp and photorealistic rendering
- Experience with V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, or similar rendering software
- Ability to convert .dwg/PDF architectural drawings into clean SketchUp models
- Strong portfolio of renderings, animations, and walkthroughs
- Fast, reliable turnaround and clear communication
- Currently located in the United States and performing the work from within the U.S.
- Iowa or Midwest-based strongly preferred; Central/Eastern Iowa a plus
- Own SketchUp/rendering software and license
- Available for immediate start and ongoing contract engagement
- Able to provide fast turnaround; prior work typically required same-day or overnight delivery
- Submit a portfolio/reel of relevant SketchUp and rendering work and hourly rate
