Job Description
Senior frontend engineer building Coinbase login, signup, OAuth, and account-security experiences. Leading authentication architecture and mentoring engineers at a cryptocurrency financial platform.
Responsibilities:
- Own user-facing experiences for login, signup, OAuth, account security, and multi-factor authentication
- Lead end-to-end frontend projects from design document through implementation, deployment, and monitoring
- Support multi-user and multi-organization functionality
- Author and review technical design documents
- Break down ambiguous, complex initiatives into executable team plans
- Drive Native versus Webview architecture strategy for authentication surfaces
- Evaluate trade-offs across latency, reliability, and user experience
- Proactively identify and resolve technical debt and code quality issues across the codebase
- Lead on-call, code review, and incident response rituals
- Mentor L04 engineers on frontend craft and ownership
Requirements:
- 5+ years of production frontend engineering experience with React and TypeScript
- Independently leading end-to-end delivery of ambiguous, complex projects
- Authored and driven technical design documents through cross-functional review and implementation on at least 2-3 major initiatives
- Ability to identify and resolve systemic technical debt across a team's codebase, with measurable improvements to reliability or developer velocity
- Experience mentoring engineers
- Experience leading team rituals, including on-call rotations, code review standards, and incident response
- Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
