Job Description
Tech Lead für Java/Spring-Boot-Ratenkreditplattform bei Europace, Deutschlands FinTech-Transaktionsplattform. Verantwortung für Architektur, Delivery, Betrieb und technische Führung.
Responsibilities:
- Take technical responsibility for your area, from architecture through to production operations
- Define target architectures and make architecture and build-versus-buy decisions
- Establish technical guardrails for the Java/Spring Boot and Angular/TypeScript technology landscape
- Challenge existing solutions and deliberately evolve systems
- Work closely with Product and stakeholders, translating business objectives into technical approaches
- Critically assess requirements and make dependencies and risks transparent
- Evaluate the potential of AI and integrate it where it delivers genuine value
- Own technical responsibility for discovery and delivery, with a focus on architecture, quality, and cost-benefit trade-offs
- Maintain coding and quality standards and ensure fast, reliable releases
- Identify structural weaknesses at an early stage and ensure stability, maintainability, and transparency in production
- Empower experienced developers through sparring, feedback, and shared guardrails
- Demonstrate open, clear, and inspiring leadership, particularly during periods of change
Requirements:
- Several years of experience developing complex software systems and providing technical leadership, for example as a Tech Lead, Senior Engineer, or Staff Engineer
- Strong understanding of architecture, system design, and sustainable technical decisions in established system landscapes
- Experience aligning with Product and stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical tasks
- Ownership of the feedback loop for technical decisions
- Several years of experience with Java/Spring Boot
- Ideally, knowledge of TypeScript/Angular
- Confident working with APIs, integrations, distributed systems, and CI/CD in production-oriented software development
- High standards for code quality, clear technical principles, and test coverage
- Good understanding of stability, scalability, and maintainability in production
- Interest in the pragmatic use of new technologies and the meaningful integration of AI into products
- German proficiency at least at a professional working level (C1), both written and spoken
