Job Description
Software Developer building agentic AI platforms, web applications, and AWS infrastructure for SAIC's defense, space, and intelligence missions. Developing front-end, backend, and IaC solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain front-end web applications using modern web technologies and low-code platforms
- Build and style responsive, user-friendly interfaces within the Mendix platform
- Develop and maintain backend REST services and business logic supporting platform capabilities and agentic AI workflows
- Contribute to agentic AI components using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith
- Support development and deployment of cloud-based services and infrastructure on AWS using OpenSearch, SageMaker, Lambda, and SQS
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Packer, and Terragrunt
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, architects, and product owners to translate requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions
- Support testing, debugging, and performance optimization
- Maintain documentation for system architecture, APIs, and development processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience; or Master's degree and 0 years of experience
- 2–5 years of professional software development experience
- Experience building front-end web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience developing backend services and APIs, including RESTful service design and complex business logic implementation, using Python, Java, or NodeJS
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative agile environment
- Pass CompTIA Security Plus Examination within 90 Days of Employment
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, no dual citizenship
- Candidates must have the ability to get a secret clearance
- Preferred: Experience with ReactJS and Mendix
- Preferred: Python development and Agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and/or LangSmith
- Preferred: Experience with AWS services including OpenSearch, SageMaker, Lambda, or SQS
- Preferred: Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, Packer, or Terragrunt
- Preferred: Familiarity with DevSecOps practices
