Job Description
Software Engineer Intern supporting VSP Vision’s eye-care network through coding, testing, and documentation. Developing practical skills within an Agile software development process.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software engineers, test engineers, business partners, and leaders on coding and debugging
- Deliver technical documentation, automated test scripts, and software components
- Translate user stories and requirements
- Develop automated test scripts
- Implement test scripts and software components within projects
- Support technical design, planning, testing, and implementation within the Agile software development process
Requirements:
- Ability to work remotely within the United States, including private or semi-private workspace
- Availability to participate for the full 10-week program, Monday through Friday
- Access to high-speed internet
- High level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings
- Currently enrolled and in good standing at an accredited college or university
- At least junior-level (3rd year) standing
- Degree target in Computer Science or Information Systems
- Preferred: Java
- Preferred: Experience with Angular
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
