Job Description
AI-native full-stack engineer building Life360 family safety products for aging-in-place users. Shipping backend, mobile, and AI-powered experiences across emerging member segments.
Responsibilities:
- Ship end-to-end across backend services, APIs, iOS, and Android surfaces
- Use Claude Code and other AI agents for specifications, coding, testing, and reviews
- Define and codify AI-Native engineering practices and playbooks
- Build polished, performant, reliable experiences for tens of millions of users
- Design features for the Aging in Place member segment
- Adapt patterns and services to Things and Pets verticals as priorities shift
- Collaborate with product managers and designers on scalable solutions
- Contribute to architecture, code reviews, technical standards, and continuous improvement
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
- Mentor team members and improve AI-native workflows
- Support performance, reliability, and accessibility across owned features
- Own products from development through production, on-call, and member impact
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience building and operating high-quality, consumer-scale services
- 1+ years of hands-on experience prompting, evaluating, and building with LLMs
- Full-stack proficiency spanning backend services and mobile client development (iOS and/or Android)
- Deep experience with agentic workflows, prompt engineering, context window management, and MCP/function calling
- Track record of using AI tooling as a genuine development partner
- Strong ownership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience working with product, design, and platform engineers
- Bachelor's Degree in a Technical field, or equivalent experience
- AI coding assistants must be used for substantive professional tasks
- Nice-to-have: Experience with IoT, telematics, or embedded/hardware-adjacent systems
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Kafka, Kinesis, or other high-throughput streaming platforms
- Nice-to-have: Background with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or DataDog
