Job Description
Software Architect designing fullstack solutions for Compass UOL, which builds AI-driven digital platforms. Defining architecture, technical standards, and scalable engineering practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design and define the complete full-stack solution for initiatives under your responsibility, from the front end through data persistence
- Translate business requirements into clear, objective technical criteria, covering both functional and non-functional requirements
- Break down and detail work items into comprehensive user stories, with technical acceptance criteria and development requirements clear enough for the team to execute independently
- Map and analyze the current state of applications, documenting technical debt in a traceable and prioritizable manner together with the product team
- Evaluate and propose architectural decisions with formal documentation, including the alternatives considered and the selection criteria, so that each decision remains understandable over time
Requirements:
- Proven experience in full-stack development with React.js and Node.js
- Advanced proficiency in the TypeScript and JavaScript ecosystems
- Experience defining technical standards and design patterns, and promoting best practices across engineering teams
- Experience working on highly available digital products and supporting ongoing operations
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and messaging (Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ)
- Cloud experience, preferably with GCP
- Experience with modeling, indexing, and query optimization in MySQL
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing, including unit, integration, and E2E tests
- Knowledge of containerization with Docker and configuration of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar)
- Fluent knowledge and use of Git in collaborative workflows (Gitflow, pull requests, and code reviews)
- Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) in a product context
- Experience with observability, traceability, and application health metrics
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Firebase)
- Experience working on products involving payment methods, subscriptions, or external integrations
- Experience protecting sensitive data and ensuring compliance with Brazil’s LGPD data protection law
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Experience modernizing legacy systems and carrying out incremental migrations
- Knowledge of PHP and Laravel
