Job Description

Special Education Compliance Clerk monitoring requirements and scheduling IEP meetings for Arizona Virtual Academy. Supporting online, personalized education through timely coordination with schools, providers, and families.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all deadlines pertaining to Special Education compliance
  • Communicate compliance deadlines to appropriate school personnel for timely action
  • Work with teaching staff, providers, and families to schedule Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Provide necessary logistical information and relevant documents in advance
  • Distribute IEP scheduling information to schools monthly and weekly
  • Monitor IEP due dates and alert schools when they become overdue

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related experience
  • Associate’s degree and one (1) year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Arizona residency
  • Ability to clear required background check
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
  • Strong personal organization, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
  • Experience using a student management database
  • Professional experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience using a school database
