Job Description
Lead design of critical revenue-driving experiences at Aurora Solar. Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to enhance installer and homeowner experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end design leadership for Sales Mode experiences, spanning project creation, financing options, proposal personalization, and contract signing
- Set a multi-quarter experience vision and strategy for Sales Mode, translating business goals and customer needs into clear design direction and roadmaps
- Lead discovery to identify the highest-leverage problems using customer interviews, workflow analysis, and data to prioritize
- Design and iterate on flows that balance the needs of installers, financiers, and homeowners, including complex edge cases, compliance constraints, and approval flows
- Partner deeply with Product and Engineering to scope work into milestones, align tradeoffs, and ensure high-quality implementation
- Raise the bar on craft and consistency by contributing patterns to the design system and improving shared interaction models across Aurora
- Influence cross-team alignment by facilitating reviews, articulating rationale, and mentoring other designers through critique and collaboration
Requirements:
- 8+ years of product design experience, with demonstrated leadership on complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to simplify multi-step workflows, and build intuitive experiences that serve multiple personas
- Deep customer empathy, with experience designing for real-world B2B constraints while maintaining a strong end-user experience
- Data fluency, with the ability to pair quantitative signals with qualitative insight to guide decisions and measure impact
- Excellent product thinking and judgment with the ability to make smart tradeoffs, align teams through ambiguity, and maintain velocity without sacrificing quality
- A high bar for craft across interaction design, information architecture, and visual design, paired with clear storytelling and communication in a remote environment
- Collaborative leadership skills, with the ability to influence across Product, Engineering, and Sales
