Job Description
Staff Product Designer shaping Taptap Send’s cross-border fintech brand and design system. Launching trusted financial products across global markets with AI-assisted prototyping.
Responsibilities:
- Set the visual and experiential direction of Taptap Send's global brand
- Evolve the brand identity while preserving trust in important financial tasks
- Expand the design system into infrastructure with tokens, motion, content patterns, and documentation
- Enable consistent product delivery across mobile, web, and internal tools
- Take new product offerings from rough hypothesis through shipped product with measurable customer and business impact
- Set and maintain the craft standard for the design team
- Define design direction for a brand used across four continents
- Solve ambiguous, high-stakes problems involving new markets, products, and regulatory terrain
- Use AI tooling to prototype, experiment, generate components, automate workflows, and provide front-end work close to specification
- Build the design system, brand, and products on top of them
- Influence roadmaps through evidence, prototypes, and shipped artifacts
- Collaborate across product, engineering, growth, compliance, and go-to-market teams
Requirements:
- Portfolio showing range and depth, including consumer mobile products taken from ambiguity to launch
- Evidence of systems thinking, including the structure underlying products, not only screens
- Strong visual hierarchy, typography, content strategy, micro-animation, and information architecture fundamentals
- Experience using AI tools for LLM-assisted prototyping, code editors, component generation, and workflow automation
- Ability to distinguish where AI tools increase velocity from where they produce inadequate work
- High attention to detail with pragmatic prioritization
- Deep customer empathy and ability to understand customers' financial experiences
- Comfortable being the most senior designer in the room
- Fintech, marketplaces, or other high-trust consumer category experience is a plus
