Job Description
Strategic Sourcing Manager at Moog managing sourcing plans and supplier contracts for global supply chain optimization. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance supplier performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop/manage the execution of strategic sourcing plans including make vs buy, buy vs buy, or buy to make inputs
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and execute tactical and long term strategic sourcing plans for multiple parts and a variety of products within an assigned commodity grouping
- Research and identification of suppliers to achieve an effective Supply Chain network design based on quality, lead time, vendor managed inventory and total landed cost
- Provides proposal support to the Business Sectors for current programs and new business pursuits
- Supplier selection after considering inputs and consulting with a cross functional team through a Supplier Selection process
- Determines when products should be sourced to a single vendor or multiple vendors to mitigate risk
- Development of new supplier capabilities/competencies through strategic supplier partnerships
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in a relevant subject
- A relevant advanced (graduate level) degree and/or Supply Chain Professional Certification is desirable
- >5 years relevant global Supply Chain knowledge and leadership experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of compiling and negotiating contractual terms and conditions for long term supplier agreements
- Proven collaborative leadership capability within a multicultural geographically dispersed environment.
