Job Description

Designing enhancements and new business applications as a System Architect for corporate functions at Stanley Black & Decker. Overseeing technical solutions and providing support to SAP teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Enable building of knowledge databases for technology, solutions, and domain areas.
  • Manage and lead work on capturing and transferring tacit knowledge to vendors and knowledge management systems.
  • Lead SAP architecture and integration for corporate functions.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
  • Establish and maintain SAP standards, roadmaps, and best practices.
  • Oversee SAP upgrades, migrations, and enhancements.
  • Ensure SAP compliance with security, audit, and data governance policies.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to SAP teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Requirements:

  • Designs enhancements and new business applications and/or information systems solutions through integration of technical and business requirements.
  • Serves as technical designer to identify best solutions and resulting technical specifications within limits of the environment.
  • Links business needs and Architecture definitions to technical solutions.
  • Accountable for build activities within project delivery.
  • Analyzes business needs and manages the creation of software solutions that meet those needs.
  • Reviews flow charts, business process management (BPM) workflows, and systems diagrams to manage problem analysis.
  • Responsible for overall design documentation and ensuring that functional and technical documentation meets requirements.
  • Manages the designing and documentation of software/solution according to SBD-IT systems standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide guidance in testing activities and on configuration and coding when needed.
  • Provides technical assistance where needed to ensure timely resolution of incidents or issues.
  • Ensures execution plan is on track and reports any major deviations in budget or timeline.
  • Effectively plans and integrates new products with the existing IT landscape.
  • Manages work with architecture, application services, infrastructure, release management, and other relevant stakeholders to enable a smooth deployment.
  • Works with outside partners to ensure SBD requirements are met.
