Job Description

Technical lead responsible for architecture and implementation of a cloud-based multi-benefit platform. Leading a cross-functional team focused on microservices and API-first approaches.

Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for the architecture, implementation and operation of modern platform and software components — with a focus on microservices, API‑first approaches and an AWS‑based infrastructure
  • When extracting and modernizing existing systems, you drive the gradual renewal of the platform and implement modular, scalable services
  • For reliable delivery, you build CI/CD pipelines, automated tests and efficient deployment processes and continuously improve them
  • You lead, coach and develop a strong, interdisciplinary development and DevOps team — including recruiting, knowledge building and the establishment of agile routines
  • By working closely with product management, security, IT infrastructure and external partners you ensure clear priorities, sound architectural decisions and transparency of progress

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience in software development and architecture of modern web and cloud systems (e.g., Kotlin, TypeScript, React, Node.js, JVM‑based frameworks)
  • Solid knowledge of microservices design, API‑first models and cloud operations, especially on AWS
  • You have already taken on technical leadership responsibilities successfully — for example as Lead Developer, Tech Lead or Team Lead
  • You are proficient with DevOps automation, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring and logging
  • Good knowledge of IT security and data protection, ideally in ISO‑27001‑like environments
  • You are at least business‑fluent in German
