Job Description

Technical Solutions Manager facilitating collaboration between Sales and Engineering teams at EarthDaily. Leading technical engagements to support revenue growth through innovative Earth observation solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the bridge between EarthDaily's Sales team and the Software Engineering and Product functions
  • Ensure prospective customers understand how EarthDaily’s data, analytics platforms, and AI-driven insights map to their real-world operational needs
  • Lead technical discovery, solution design, and proof-of-concept engagements that directly support revenue growth
  • Partner with Sales team members to qualify opportunities
  • Design and deliver compelling technical demonstrations, proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, and proposals aligned to customer workflows and use cases
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and technical questionnaires with accuracy and commercial awareness
  • Conduct needs assessments to understand technical requirements and objectives
  • Build trusted relationships with technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Product and Software Engineering teams to relay customer feedback and ensure solutions remain competitive
  • Work with Customer Success Managers to ensure seamless technical handoffs post-sale

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science/Software Engineering, Geography/GIS, Physics/Applied Math, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or geospatial consulting role within the remote sensing, geospatial, or Earth observation industry
  • Prior experience working in a technical-pre-sales role in the commercial Earth observation industry may be prioritized
  • Candidates with experience in one or more of EarthDaily’s target verticals may be prioritized
  • Hands-on experience with commercial Earth observation and related geospatial data formats, tools, and concepts
  • Proficiency with at least one relevant programming language or scripting environment (Python preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience working in or supporting cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Exposure to AI/ML applications in Earth observation (e.g., change detection, object classification, time-series analysis)
