Job Description
Transaction Advisory Director for Elliott Davis, leading buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence. Responsible for managing M&A engagements and overseeing advisory reports.
Responsibilities:
- Lead buy-side and sell-side transaction services engagements, providing financial due diligence assistance to private equity, mezzanine funds and strategic buyers
- Perform quality of earnings, debt and debt-like, and working capital analysis
- Understand and evaluate financial and operational trends of target companies
- Communicate due diligence findings verbally to clients and in a formal written report
- Create and design tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings, financial reporting, net working capital trends and indebtedness considerations
- Ability to lead an engagement and provide real time feedback and guidance to client to ensure timely and efficient product delivery
- Leading due diligence meetings with target management
- Supervise staff and provide performance feedback
- Lead and participate in people development and business development efforts
- Willingness to travel (typically around 25-30%)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Current licensed CPA
- 8+ years of recent audit, transaction advisory or other relevant experience. Prior transaction advisory services experience required
- Big 4, National or large regional firm experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude towards business development
- Experience in project management including planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing staff, clients, and/or shareholders towards the successful completion of a project
- Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting issues
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously (multi-task)
