Job Description
Transport Procurement Manager sourcing carriers and freight for bex, a digital logistics platform and freight forwarder serving construction suppliers. Negotiating prices, matching transport solutions, and improving carrier-network processes.
Responsibilities:
- Receive transport requests, clarify open points, and identify appropriate transport solutions
- Obtain quotes from carrier partners, negotiate rates, and select carriers based on vehicle type, route, lead time and service level
- Work according to clear processes and provide customers with reliable updates
- Calculate sales prices and actively offer solutions to customers
- Accurately record inquiries, rates and orders in the system and ensure high data quality
- Provide feedback on carrier performance and help develop the carrier partner network
- Collaborate with the team to develop standards and processes from recurring cases
Requirements:
- Some experience in freight forwarding, dispatching, transport logistics, space purchasing or a comparable role
- You work in a structured and efficient way and maintain an overview
- You enjoy communicating, can negotiate, and make decisions
- Numerical aptitude: prices, margins and basic calculations are no problem for you
- Confident use of digital tools (CRM, spreadsheets, TMS, etc.); openness to new software and automation
- Excellent written and spoken German
- Comfortable using English; additional languages are an advantage
- Reliability, ownership and proactive communication come naturally to you
