Job Description
Utility Locator Technician locating and marking privately owned underground utilities throughout Nevada. Working outdoors and supporting fiber optic and infrastructure projects as part of a growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Locate and accurately mark underground utilities
- Read and interpret utility maps, plans, and construction prints
- Operate locating equipment safely and efficiently
- Complete required documentation and daily reports
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and teammates
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards
- Maintain company equipment and vehicle
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 + years utility locating experience required
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass a physical examination and pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to walk uneven terrain including dirt, gravel, grass, and roadways
- Willingness to travel overnight within Nevada as needed
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation
