Job Description

Underwriting Manager overseeing life underwriting team to enhance customer experience through analytics and modern tools. Leading complex case decisions and managing a high-performing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day case adjudication and quality standards
  • Guide underwriters to deliver fast, accurate, and ethical decisions
  • Manage complex case adjudication during peak volumes
  • Lead and develop a team of underwriters
  • Own rules maintenance and monitoring for automated underwriting
  • Coach, develop, and upskill underwriters in analytical thinking

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of life underwriting experience
  • Extensive life underwriting expertise
  • Working knowledge of automated underwriting platforms and programs
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) data
  • Experience using advanced analytics and visualization tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commitment to ethical decision-making and regulatory compliance
