Job Description
Underwriting Manager overseeing life underwriting team to enhance customer experience through analytics and modern tools. Leading complex case decisions and managing a high-performing team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day case adjudication and quality standards
- Guide underwriters to deliver fast, accurate, and ethical decisions
- Manage complex case adjudication during peak volumes
- Lead and develop a team of underwriters
- Own rules maintenance and monitoring for automated underwriting
- Coach, develop, and upskill underwriters in analytical thinking
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of life underwriting experience
- Extensive life underwriting expertise
- Working knowledge of automated underwriting platforms and programs
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) data
- Experience using advanced analytics and visualization tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commitment to ethical decision-making and regulatory compliance
