Job Description
Underwriting & Servicing Operations Manager overseeing operations of credit card products at Mercury. Responsible for collections and portfolio management functions with a focus on growth and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Own the collections function end-to-end
- Manage and improve collections operations
- Serve as primary owner on collections and servicing policy documentation
- Partner with Legal and Compliance for compliant collections practices
- Define collections performance metrics; track and report on delinquency rates
- Own the end-to-end operational layer across IO credit product variants
- Bring consistency and rigor to underwriting processes
- Monitor pipeline health and manage operational bottlenecks
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in credit operations, underwriting, portfolio management, or collections
- Prior experience in a highly regulated financial services environment
- Strong judgment in ambiguous situations
- Track record of managing and developing early-career team members
- Data fluency - comfort with SQL or similar tools
- Experience with SMB credit, fintech lending products, credit cards, or capital products
- Curiosity about how AI tools can improve operational efficiency
