Job Description
Construction Casualty Underwriter responsible for managing complex new and renewal accounts across Auto, GL, and Worker’s Compensation. Joining Zurich’s Midwest Team with opportunities to leverage underwriting and marketing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a customer industry advocate with a focus on improving the customer experience
- Use a disciplined approach to exposure evaluation, risk assessment, and pricing
- Utilize risk insights, data, and models to drive informed decisions at point of sale
- Market facing and production within the growing Construction division
- Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating manual rules
- Work within broad limits and authority on complex assignments
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
