Job Description
Underwriting Transformation Specialist leading modernization initiatives for Guardian's life underwriting processes. Ensuring compliance and competitive practices while collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead critical initiatives that modernize underwriting processes
- Ensure underwriting practices remain competitive and compliant
- Manage the transition from legacy systems to a modern underwriting workbench
- Collaborate with medical director and underwriting leadership
- Partner with data science teams to develop AI models
- Create documentation and procedures for quality control programs
- Support underwriting operations during peak periods
Requirements:
- Extensive individual life underwriting expertise
- Experience contributing to modernization initiatives
- Proven ability working with quality control programs
- Familiarity with emerging technologies (EHR, GenAI, wearable tech)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with creating dashboards and utilizing BI tools
- Influence and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance in digital underwriting.
