Job Description
UX/UI Designer developing user experience for Ratio.City products at Esri Canada. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective user-centered designs and managing product iterations remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating closely with User Researchers to conceptualize and define user experiences.
- Collaborating with Product Manager to ensure product designs are in line with longer-term product strategies.
- Developing and iterating on designs for existing or new product features – from wireframing through high fidelity prototypes to developer handoff.
- Working with developers to ensure that implementations meet design specifications.
- Presenting and defending your design decisions in discussions with the team.
- Maintaining and evolving our design system.
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience as UI/UX Designer or Product Designer
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX work, including problem definition, process and outcomes.
- Experience designing for complex products, workflows, or systems.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite).
- Solid understanding of usability principles, user research methodology, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with Product and Engineering in an agile workflow.
- University degree in UX Design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design or related discipline is required.
- Familiarity with the planning and development industry is a bonus.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards is a bonus.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system is a bonus.
- Experience with mobile design is a bonus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and user-centered mindset.
