Job Description

Vendor Territory Sales Representative growing BMO’s banking revenue through business development and strategic client relationships. Structuring deals, managing portfolios, and expanding cross-selling opportunities across four U.S. states.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate growth for the Bank through business development and management of key client relationships
  • Maintain a continuous record of significant revenue generation from sales and syndications
  • Act as an escalation point for complex client issues and resolve conflicts
  • Structure complex deals and secure credit approvals with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Develop new business through prospect and client outreach and cross-selling credit, trust/investment, and cash management products and services
  • Review loan applications and cash management service agreements for accuracy, completeness, and risk-management alignment
  • Develop market strategies, identify opportunities, and expand client portfolios
  • Identify market segments and leverage industry trends to drive business growth
  • Represent the bank at industry forums and conferences
  • Engage senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align strategies and address client needs
  • Prepare reports on team performance, client satisfaction, and market trends for senior executives
  • Build and maintain relationships with high-value and strategic clients and provide financial solutions advice
  • Negotiate high-value transactions and identify share-of-wallet and cross-selling opportunities
  • Analyze market trends, client industry developments, and competitive positioning
  • Define products, solutions, and strategies with internal teams and stakeholders
  • Nurture and grow a portfolio exceeding ROE thresholds and evaluate client returns
  • Ensure regulatory, internal control, and compliance adherence while mitigating risk
  • Provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support
  • Work independently and handle non-routine situations

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Relationship Management, Account Management or Portfolio Management in a corporate or similar segmented banking environment with sales metrics is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred
  • Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Product Knowledge, Regulatory Compliance, Structuring Deals, Portfolio Management, Credit Risk Assessment, Project Management, Customer Service, Problem Solving, Negotiation, and Customer Relationship Building
  • Expert proficiency in Financial Analysis
  • Ability to take measured risks while protecting the bank and adhering to applicable policies, laws, and regulations
