Job Description

Accounting Support Specialist handling core accounting operations and supporting accounting systems at Solera. Involved in monthly close processes and compliance with GAAP standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarter-end, and year-end journal entries
  • Own balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis
  • Analyze balance sheet and P&L variances and provide clear explanations and corrective actions
  • Support monthly close activities and ensure adherence to close calendars and accuracy standards
  • Prepare accruals and analyze large datasets to support corporate accounting processes
  • Support intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations
  • Assist with data preparation and uploads into consolidation and reporting systems
  • Identify and document process improvements and support internal control enhancements
  • Provide Tier 1 functional and technical support for accounting systems and applications
  • Troubleshoot user-reported accounting and system issues and document resolutions in CRM tools
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve data, system, and process-related issues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Public accounting experience is preferred
  • Experience in a global or multi-entity environment is strongly preferred
  • Experience in software or SaaS companies is preferred
  • CPA or equivalent certification is preferred but not required
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles
  • Basic knowledge of SOX controls and internal control frameworks
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis functions
  • Experience with ERP and financial systems, Dynamics AX and Cognos experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in English
