Job Description

A/R Analyst managing billing operations and accounting activities for cybersecurity startup. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance systems and processes in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support customer and partner billing operations, including invoice generation, distribution, payment application, collections support, and accounts receivable aging analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain account reconciliations for Revenue and AR-related accounts and investigate discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue support, and reporting.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve billing inquiries and improve the customer billing experience.
  • Support external audit requests and provide documentation related to revenue, billing, and AR processes.
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and enhancement of billing and AR processes and internal controls.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, system implementations, and other ad hoc finance projects.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and team-oriented remote work environment.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of AR related accounting experience, billing or general accounting, preferably in SaaS or high-growth tech environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA-track a plus).
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and general ledger accounting entries; experience with accounting software (NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar); Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
  • Accurate, thorough, and organized with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities shift. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
