Job Description

AI Engineering Manager leading AI-native product engineering at InPost, a European out-of-home delivery company. Shaping strategy, platforms, workflows, and team development across the Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team of approximately 10–15 people working with AI technologies
  • Support team growth, autonomy, and effective collaboration
  • Own the AI Engineering strategy
  • Contribute to products powered by machine learning and AI-native technologies
  • Partner with product managers and stakeholders to define requirements, priorities, delivery plans, features, and product enhancements
  • Establish standards and processes for AI-native product development, including CI/CD with evals, test sets, and search subsystems
  • Select and implement open-source and commercial tools, including MCP Servers, A2A communication, CI/CD pipelines, workflows, and agent definitions
  • Guide AI-native workflows involving streaming, long-running tasks, and procedural UX
  • Improve system architecture, application design, and engineering processes
  • Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and professional development
  • Collaborate with vendors and technology partners on partnerships, service agreements, and external innovation
  • Manage budget responsibility and influence vendor and technology-partner relationships

Requirements:

  • At least seven years of post-BS or post-MS experience in an engineering role
  • Experience leading high-performing Agile development teams
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies
  • Hands-on experience contributing to strategic projects and solving complex challenges
  • Proven track record of delivering scaled, impactful products powered by machine learning
  • Experience building backend platforms capable of supporting multiple product lines
  • Strong technical judgment and ownership of results, quality, and team development
  • Effective stakeholder communication, influence, negotiation, and translation of business objectives into technology decisions
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of decisions
  • Creativity and pragmatism in approaching challenges
  • Fluency in Polish and English
  • University degree in computer science, mathematics, econometrics, statistics, or another related field
