Job Description
Payments and digital financial services Analyst supporting Genesis Analytics, an Africa-focused impact firm. Conducting research and analysis for inclusive payment strategy, policy, and implementation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct primary and secondary research to support project deliverables
- Produce research outputs, including data collection, literature reviews, and landscape analyses
- Contribute to client deliverables under supervision
- Support proposal development through research, data gathering, and drafting
- Prepare concept notes and presentation slides for client pitches
- Assist with business development activities
- Participate in at least one working group and contribute to its initiatives and deliverables
- Develop foundational knowledge in payments and digital financial services
- Seek feedback and incorporate it into work
- Learn new skills and methodologies with curiosity and initiative
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline
- 2 years of relevant consulting experience in payments or digital financial services consulting
- High attention to detail and meticulous approach to data and analysis
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong, demonstrable interest in payment systems, digital finance, and digital financial inclusion
- Passionate, self-motivated, energetic problem-solving approach
- Integrity and ethical behaviour
- Analytical thinking, fast learning, and excellent academic record
