Job Description

Apprentice Epic Revenue Cycle Analyst providing hands-on experience in supporting Epic EHR applications at OCHIN. Engaging in workflows, testing, and user support in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Epic Configuration: Support customization and configuration of Epic applications to meet organizational needs.
  • Workflow Analysis: Observe and document clinical and administrative workflows to understand system requirements.
  • Testing & Validation: Participate in testing new builds, upgrades, and patches to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  • End-User Support: Help troubleshoot basic issues and escalate complex problems to experienced analysts.
  • Training Support: Assist in creating user guides and training materials for member staff.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of system changes, workflows, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with experienced analysts and clinical teams to learn best practices in healthcare IT. Engage in training and development activities to build analytical and technical skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have successfully completed an OCHIN workforce training program or have similar experience such as having held a position for at least 10 months within an OCHIN support team or a member site.
  • An Epic Proficiency in Resolute PB is required or must be obtained within 60-days of employment
  • Interest in data analysis, problem solving and continuous learning.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare operations and EHR systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer literacy and willingness to learn new tools and systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50–60-minute competency assessment.
