Job Description

Software and simulation engineering support for Metis Technology Solutions’ NASA air traffic management facilities. Maintaining simulation environments, facility systems, and mission-critical operational tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Support ARTS Program Software Facilities, ATMS, and associated operational environments
  • Support high-fidelity software simulation environments used in air traffic management research
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot ARTS facility systems and operational tools
  • Provide technical integration, configuration management, or system administration
  • Ensure continuity during NASA’s organizational and contract transitions
  • Work with NASA researchers, facility operators, and the broader Metis technical team
  • Provide uninterrupted mission support
  • Support simulation, software integration, facility operations, and mission-critical technical services

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting ARTS at Ames or remotely
  • Experience with research simulation environments
  • Experience with air traffic management tools or high-fidelity software environments
  • Linux/Windows system administration experience
  • Experience in integration, testing, or operational support of technical facilities
  • Technical support experience aligned with air traffic management research objectives
  • Software development experience
  • Skills, experience, and alignment with ARTS technical requirements
  • Current ARTS support experience is invited but prior employer affiliation is not required
