Job Description
Assistant Professor providing professional leadership and high-quality clinical instruction to counseling students. Guiding them through their transformational journey from student to caregiver at West Coast University.
Responsibilities:
- Providing professional leadership and support.
- Serving as an educator, role model, mentor, advisor, and facilitator.
- Providing high-quality clinical instruction to students during seminars and courses/immersive and fieldwork; assessing students' didactic and clinical competency.
Requirements:
- Limited teaching experience in a higher education environment is required.
- Strong research and/or clinical backgrounds but no or limited experience in teaching meet this criterion.
- Clinical experience and the ability to supervise graduate-level students in a CACREP-accredited program is required.
- Knowledge in technological support and delivery of program area and services.
- Knowledge and evidence of strong supervisory and management skills applicable to specialized program area.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of applicable databases and computer application systems to supply the most accurate information and report.
- Active Licensed Professional Counselor is required.
