Job Description

Assistant Professor providing professional leadership and high-quality clinical instruction to counseling students. Guiding them through their transformational journey from student to caregiver at West Coast University.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing professional leadership and support.
  • Serving as an educator, role model, mentor, advisor, and facilitator.
  • Providing high-quality clinical instruction to students during seminars and courses/immersive and fieldwork; assessing students' didactic and clinical competency.

Requirements:

  • Limited teaching experience in a higher education environment is required.
  • Strong research and/or clinical backgrounds but no or limited experience in teaching meet this criterion.
  • Clinical experience and the ability to supervise graduate-level students in a CACREP-accredited program is required.
  • Knowledge in technological support and delivery of program area and services.
  • Knowledge and evidence of strong supervisory and management skills applicable to specialized program area.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of applicable databases and computer application systems to supply the most accurate information and report.
  • Active Licensed Professional Counselor is required.
