Job Description
Attorney providing legal support and ensuring compliance within AffirmedRx’s contract operations. Engaging in contract drafting, negotiation, and regulatory advisory within a dynamic healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and other legal documents
- Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual matters and risk mitigation
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
- Manage contract lifecycle processes, including renewals, amendments, and terminations
- Actively support the organization's Compliance and Privacy programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Growth, Operations, and Finance, to address legal and business needs
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and industry trends
- Assist in resolving contract disputes and provide support in litigation matters, if necessary
- Provide guidance on key regulatory topics, including Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA)
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active bar member, in good standing
- 5 years of experience in contract law, preferably in an in-house or corporate setting
- Strong understanding of contract drafting, negotiation, and management
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive in identifying risks and offering actionable solutions
- Ability to treat sensitive information with the highest degree of confidentiality
- Demonstrated experience managing legal programs, projects, and processes
- Familiarity with ERISA, and CAA regulations and the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Energetic, proactive, self-starter who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Impeccable professional ethics, integrity, and judgment
- Willingness and ability to travel (10%-20%)
