Job Description
Graphics Engineer designing advanced graphical user interfaces for BAS systems. Collaborating with teams to support building operators in commercial environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced graphical user interfaces for BAS, BMS, EMS, and EPMS systems.
- Create modern, intuitive, and high-performance graphics that support building operators.
- Complete all graphics design and development within allocated project hours and timelines.
- Design visually appealing, dynamic, easy-to-use, and modern-looking graphic solutions.
- Ensure timely delivery of graphics packages to jobsites to meet project completion schedules.
- Multi-task effectively across multiple design projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
- Identify and report quality control issues to project managers and engineering management.
- Maintain response times and follow-up communications with project managers.
- Deliver accurate and timely graphic design deliverables that meet client expectations.
- Independently design and develop sophisticated DDC graphics within timelines and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with project managers, control technicians, and engineering teams to deliver graphics solutions.
- Provide technical problem-solving expertise to develop optimal visualization solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive revision tracking and develop graphics libraries and templates.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience with building automation systems and DDC applications.
- 1-2+ years of experience in graphical software development and interface design.
- Strong understanding of BAS/BMS/EMS/DDC/EPMS systems and their operational requirements.
- Proficiency in graphics software applications such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent design tools.
- Experience with HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and building automation principles.
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High degree of integrity and mature judgment in decision-making processes.
