Job Description

Remote bilingual medical VA coordinating Personal Injury, MedPay, attorney, and insurance workflows. Supporting patient scheduling and DOT examination lead conversion for a chiropractic practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Personal Injury patients and coordinate PI, MedPay, attorney lien, insurance, and DOT examination workflows
  • Assist with intake and coordination of new Personal Injury patients
  • Collect accident, attorney, insurance, claim, case, and referral information
  • Determine, obtain, document, and follow up on MedPay coverage and claim information
  • Communicate with patients, attorneys, law offices, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and referral sources
  • Request and track Letters of Protection, attorney liens, medical records, billing information, and missing documentation
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls and provide regular business-hours and Saturday morning phone coverage
  • Respond to new-patient inquiries, schedule patients, prioritize Personal Injury referrals, and follow up on missed calls and unscheduled leads
  • Explain basic administrative processes and communicate professionally with patients in English and Spanish
  • Perform insurance verification, insurance coordination, Workers' Compensation administrative support, and referral coordination
  • Maintain accurate patient, insurance, attorney, claim, case, referral, and lead records
  • Follow HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
  • Escalate coverage, authorization, liability, or billing issues appropriately
  • Conduct outbound calls, follow up on DOT examination inquiries, convert leads into appointments, and support business-development initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish – required
  • 2+ years of experience supporting a U.S.-based medical practice
  • Strong inbound and outbound phone experience
  • Excellent English and Spanish communication skills
  • Medical appointment scheduling experience
  • Strong patient/customer service skills
  • Experience communicating with patients by phone
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information
  • Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
  • Comfortable making outbound calls to patients, attorneys, providers, and insurance companies
  • Personal Injury (PI) medical office experience strongly preferred
  • MedPay experience strongly preferred
  • Attorney lien / LOP experience strongly preferred
  • Insurance verification or insurance coordination
  • Workers' Compensation experience
  • Experience obtaining claim numbers
  • Experience obtaining case numbers from attorneys or law firms
  • Experience communicating with insurance adjusters
  • Experience communicating with personal injury attorneys

Benefits:

  • Full-Time – 40 hours per week
  • Monday–Friday schedule, plus Saturday morning coverage
  • Hours: 10:00 AM–7:00 PM EST, Monday–Friday
  • Negotiable hourly compensation determined based on experience, professional background, and relevant expertise
