Job Description

Bookkeeper I supporting financial operations including transaction management and reconciliation at Out of the Box Technology. Requires expertise in QuickBooks and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter daily financial data and perform routine bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Record and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online/Desktop
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable with attention to detail and timeliness
  • Assist with payroll entry and recording from third-party providers
  • Prepare basic financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements
  • Communicate with clients to gather financial data and clarify entries
  • Set up and maintain clean and accurate QuickBooks files (QBO/QBD)
  • Utilize bank feeds to efficiently categorize and reconcile transactions
  • Generate standard QuickBooks reports for internal and client use
  • Ensure accuracy in transaction entry and resolve discrepancies
  • Track and manage sales tax reporting for clients
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes in collaboration with senior staff

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts
